Artists in Barcelona, France and London are using bitcoin as both subject and medium. In Barcelona, Street Cyber moved from private consultancy to street art about finance and technology, and says his designs open a door for people outside the bitcoin community. French tattoo artist Fzero says that tattoos, like bitcoin transactions, are essentially unalterable unless you go through a painful “hard fork”, meaning laser removal.
In London, musician Nat Cole founded 2140 Music to produce and promote bitcoin-inspired music, and says bitcoin gives artists full sovereignty over their publishing, distribution and payment channels. The article also visits Cyphermunk House, a pop-up gallery in Bloomsbury that combines art, education and community.
