During the COPA v Wright trial in February 2024, documents disclosed through Craig Wright’s former solicitors, Ontier, whom he had dismissed, raised further questions about potential forgeries. At issue were screenshots from the MYOB accounting software. COPA argued that they were not created until March 2020, while Wright maintained that Ontier had been given login details in 2019. Ontier said it had not had access until March 2020.

Lord Grabiner, representing Wright, disclosed an email from Wright’s partner, Ramona Watts, which appeared to show the details being sent in 2019, but Ontier’s review found discrepancies in the dates. The article also covers the cross-examination of forensic expert Patrick Madden and evidence from Wright’s sister, Danielle DeMorgan. Mr Justice Mellor said the matter was still under investigation and would be addressed in the judgment.
